What makes a great review?
Writing a review might seem tricky at first, so here is a simple step-by-step guide to help you share a clear, honest and helpful review.
Reviews will autosave as you write, so please take as much time as you need or come back to finish your review later. Draft reviews can be found in the My Reviews section of your profile page.
1. Where did you go?
Start by telling us the venue name and when you visited.
Add photos, video or audio (optional)
Bring your review to life! Upload:
• photos of entrances, ramps, signage, toilets – or even a selfie
2. Give the venue a rating
Use our smiley faces to quickly share how your visit made you feel – a simple way to let others know about your overall experience.
Summarise your experience
Write a summary of your visit and add a short title. This can be your entire review if you like, but if you have more to share, you can add details about things like parking, toilets, signage, staff and more in the next step.
3. Add some details of access information (optional)
Our most-read reviews are usually the ones with the most information! Adding extra detail helps others plan with confidence and lets venues know what they are doing well and what they can improve.
You might include:
Access
• whether the venue had step-free access or automatic doors
• space for mobility devices
• clear signage around the venue
Parking and transport
• parking options and availability
• public transport connections nearby
Toilets
• toilet accessibility and cleanliness
• whether a Changing Places toilet was available
Staff and environment
• how helpful and welcoming staff were
• noise levels or sensory environment
• availability of alternative formats like Braille, BSL or Easy Read
4. Share your access requirements (optional)
Sharing your lived experience builds trust in reviews and helps others decide if a venue might work for them.
You can include your own needs or those of the person you visited with.
At this point, you can submit your review – or continue to add more details in the next step.
5. Submit your review
Remember: your review does not need to be perfect. Trusted access information matters more than grammar or punctuation. You review will save as a draft if you want time to consider it later.
When you are ready, click Submit Review and we will send you an email when your review has been published. Thank you for helping us make the world a little more accessible!
