Llandaff Cathedral is a focus for pilgrimage and spirituality in the city of Cardiff, and is the seat of the Bishop of Llandaff. The Cathedral stands on one of the oldest Christian sites in Britain, near an ancient crossing of the River Taff. The current building dates back to the 12th century, with an earlier Christian pillar-cross and grave markers incorporated into the fabric. Our purpose is to worship God and share the gospel of Jesus Christ and we welcome all who come here, irrespective of gender, race, creed or sexuality, in order that we might share and pass on our rich Christian heritage and the joy of Christian faith. Entrance to the Cathedral is free of charge.
