Excellent

The Village is a large modern hotel with an adjoining leisure complex. It sits around fifteen minutes car or bus journey from Princes Street.

Excellent

Access in and around the building: Once in the building the reception is directly in front of you and staff are happy to point you in the right direction. A large lift takes you up to the bedroom floors. Next to reception is a coffee shop, the bar and the restaurant. Just around the corner is the entrance to the leisure complex. Access in the accessible bedrooms and bathrooms: The accessible bedroom was large and spacious. It was bright and airy. The wet room was well lit and had plenty of room. Access in the dining area: The dining area is off the bar. It is fairly large and there are plenty of tables and chair to choose where you want to sit. Access to other facilities: The hotel has a leisure centre with a gym and swimming pool.

Excellent

As a visually impaired person I use public transport. Buses go from the Princes Street past the hotel as many are going to the nearby hospital. A taxi ride from town takes around fifteen minutes. There are loads of accessible car parking bays outside the front door.

A large accessible toilet is next to the reception area.

The staff were all very helpful and enthusiastic. They were happy to answer questions and have a very positive attitude toward making disabled people welcome.

Additional Information

The hotel has a number of accessible rooms and plenty of parking so good for groups.
