Adapted Caravan - New and Very Nice
Buchan Development Partnership has adapted a caravan at the Aden Caravan Park in Mintlaw to allow wheelchair users to have a break. The rooms and access to the caravan have been designed for both electric and manual wheelchairs. The Aden Caravan Park is set within beautiful site and has all the facilities you would expect. The site has an on-site warden with extensive care experience with people with physical disabilities and people with learning disabilities (though it should be noted the site does not provide any care.
The caravan itself has two bedrooms (two single beds in each), a lowered kitchen, a spacious living room and wet room which includes a shower chair and grab rails. The larger bedroom is suitable for wheelchair users whilst the smaller bedroom might be challenging as there wouldn't be much room to turn a wheelchair.
Access to the caravan is via a widened ramp and the doors have widened.
