    Gorgeous gardens and two Trampers!

I came on a mobility scooter and had booked one of the garden's two Tramper off road scooters to take round the gardens. I think this was necessary as much of the gardens was quite steep and my little scooter would have struggled! (The map did show a couple of flatter routes.) On the Tramper it was all very easy. Gardens were lovely, lots of flowers, beautiful views and some water features, we heard woodpeckers.

    Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre

Batsford Arboretum is very near Morton in March. It is easy to get around on one of their Trampers and access to the shop is also easy. I cannot remember if we ate there but it is likely. I went in early summer and the unusual hankerchief tree, of which there are few, was in bloom. Almost opposite the arboretum is the India House which for somebody able bodied I am sure is very interesting. I enquired about access before visiting and was received a hand drawn map showing concreted paths to the house and access to grounds. Well no there wasn't it was gravel paths. I was told that although I wouldn't be able to go upstairs but had access to the ground floor and I would be shown a video of the upstairs rooms. Well no it didn't I was shown into one room and the attendant with me had never heard of a video in all the years she had volunteered there. So best avoid the India House but Batsford Arboretum was accessible and very beautiful. As for the hankerchief tree - a little underwhelming.
