Befriending Service and Day Club

The Befriending Service provides support & companionship for people with dementia within their own home. Each volunteer befriender is trained and Disclosure checked and they are carefully matched with a client. Most befrienders visit once a week for a couple of hours. The visit provides mental stimulation and companionship and helps to maintain skills and confidence. The Befriender and their friend make a mutual choice of what activities to undertake. Lunch is served at the day club and there are lots of different stimulating activities to try in a relaxed and safe supportive environment.
