Disabled Access Information for Blackheath Quaker Meeting House

disabledAccessText

There is step less external access both upstairs and downstairs: from the pavement of Lawn Terrace there is a gentle wheelchair-manageable slope up to the front door, and there is level access from Independents Road.

accessibleParkingText

Parking is usually possible close to the front door on Sunday and should be possible other days with a disabled badge. Anyone who has more specific requirements can contact the meeting at this address or for other, non-Quaker functions taking place in the building, they should start with the organisers.

Toilets features at Blackheath Quaker Meeting House

Downstairs a 2013 refurbishment created a fully compliant wheelchair-accessible toilet. Upstairs I understand the toilet does not conform in every detail with current requirements, but wheelchair users can and do access it. (Any further improvement would require structural change to the building.) Wheelchair access between the two floors is not available inside the building.
