Capesthorne Hall is set in 100 acres of beautiful Cheshire parkland with lakes and formal gardens. The Jacobean-style hall with its collection of fine art, antiques, tapestries, furniture and marble sculptures dates from 1719. Open to the public on Sunday and Mondays from March until the end of October. The Hall opens again for the 3 day 'Christmas at Capesthorne' at the end of November each year. The Butler's Pantry tea room sells light refreshments. The venue can host weddings, parties, corporate events and park events such as music festivals and team building events. There is a 50 pitch caravan park on site which is also open March to October annually.

Capesthorne Hall

Lovely hall which only opens Sundays, Mondays and Bank Holidays. Access to cafe with wheelchair accessible tables. Wheelchair entrance to hall unfortunately over grass. Ramp into hall. Downstairs accessible but be sure to ask to see the entrance hall or this will be missed by wheelchair users. Very helpful guide, he even allowed us to take photos inside. Photo book of upstairs provided very poor. Access to surrounding garden OK but flight of steps at one end and one large step at the other end which made it impossible for myself in an electric wheelchair to visit the gazebo and flower garden and the lake. Searched and found a "kissing gate" which was impassable but at the side of it was a "gate" which could be dismantled if you have able companions! This led to the bridge over the lake.

To access the Hall there is a ramp to the rear which is accessed by a gravel path. Only the downstairs rooms are accessible however a book of photographs of the upstairs rooms will be available to view (please ask a Steward if not automatically offered) The front courtyard and Butler's Pantry tea room are accessible from the car park and the Butler's Pantry has disabled toilet facilities. Some of the gardens are accessible by wheelchair but not all. All paths are gravel. The caravan park has some wider pitches available for disabled users and the Shower/toilet block is accessible by a ramp and has a large disabled shower room.
