Nice place, but a very steep site.
This is a National Trust property near Brixham. It has a shop, restaurant, house and gardens. Unfortunately it's on a steep hill running down to the sea. They have 2 manual wheelchairs available to borrow, but as its a steep site, you'll be restricted to the top gardens, restaurant and shop - unless you have a very strong wheelchair 'pusher'. They told us that they've tried several mobility scooters on the site but they couldn't cope with the steepness of the site, but they were still looking. Even getting to the house is hard going, as is the terrace and upper gardens. There is no wheelchair access to the upper floor of the house, and numerous steps make even the ground floor tricky. The shop and restaurant (easy access in a wheelchair) are on a level with the entrance and loos. A nice unexpected bonus (not really an accessibility issue, but one of our party is gluten free) - though it's not publicised in the restaurant - is that all sandwiches are available on gluten free bread, many of the main dishes can easily be made gf, and there are gf cakes available.
