Cosaig self catering holiday cottage has "a strong 3 star award" from VisitScotland & category 2 access. Suitable for people with limited mobility. Bedroom 1, lounge & wet room are wheelchair accessible. Located in the Scottish Border's town of Innerleithen. Open since May 2013 and re-furbished to high standard, Cosaig sleeps 4 to 6 people. All mod-cons. Free WI-FI. Enclosed garden. Family-friendly. 5 minutes from shops / pubs and restaurants. Centrally located with views overlooking the park. Short breaks available. Well-behaved dogs welcome by arrangement. Accessibility Statement on website

Cosaig -first stay

Arrived on Saturday to a fantastic Welcome Pack. Cottage is very well laid out and meets all our needs. My husband is registered blind and has mobility issues as well as a lot of health issues. The front door has level access from personal parking space. Good space between furniture and rooms means ease of access. Wet room is fantastic as is the water pressure and a shower chair supplied was excellent. The cottage has absolutely everything you could need for a stay in beautiful countryside.

Don't hesitate-just book it!!

Lovely owner, great welcome pack with superb bread and beer. Superb easy access shower wet room for easy washing. Level access at rear to a wonderful Indian restaurant and the rest of the high street. The owner looked after our greyhound for a day so we got to Kelso races.

This cottage lacks for nothing. Extremely well equipped and if you need anything more, Jennifer is only happy to do her best to help.

Cosaig has been listed as “Category 2 Accessible” by VisitScotland (i.e. suitable for assisted wheelchair access – visitors who use wheelchairs indoors may want to bring a companion as the capacity to adapt certain parts of the cottage was limited). We welcome assistance dogs, and waive the fee usually applied to dogs. Toilets features at Cosaig Self Catering

The wet room has a level access shower with curtains which can be used as required. There are grab rails in the shower area and by the toilet. We can also provide a shower chair for guests with limited mobility. We have had guests using an Oxford mini hoist in the wet room without difficulty.
