Lovely forest walk, with accessible red squirrel trail
This was a great day out, even though it was a busy, sunny bank holiday Sunday, there were peaceful places to explore.. Lots of thought has been given to accessibility with:
- Good accessible parking (although the gravel immediately around the car is not great to navigate on, but if you're getting a wheelchair or scooter out of the boot, it should be fine).
- Really good signage, with the accessible red squirrel trail clearly mapped out at the entrance
- Wheelchair / buggy friendly benches along the way
It's a pretty, magical place, and has clearly been an important gathering place for folk over the ages, including witches and preachers (I'd rather run into the former than the latter!). The whole place is steeped in symbolism, that would be interesting to explore some more.
