    Duncan Place Community Hub

    aboutSectionText

Duncan Place is a welcoming, busy, and vibrant community hub alongside a leased space where not-for-profits can make an impact in Leith. We also have rooms for hire for meetings, conferences, yoga classes, art groups - all kinds of activities. Duncan Place is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO). As a SCIO, we put all our profits back into the organisation. That means that we return all profits back to both the building upkeep and the program of community activities we support. Our own community events programme includes: LEGO clubs, Tai Chi, Community Choir, Community Drum Circles, Craft group, Art For Anxiety group, Shared Reading group, Laughter Yoga, Chair Yoga, one-off workshops, and much more to come. This profile has been built with information in relation to accessing the Duncan Place Community Hub community programme spaces and rooms for hire. For individual charities and organisations that are based in our building, please contact them directly for more information about events and groups in their spaces.

Duncan Place Community Hub has one disabled parking space and one further space alongside the green fencing, both available on a first come basis. We are unable to reserve these spaces for individuals. These spaces are in our small car park directly next to the entrance and ramp access into the building. Blue Badge holders can also park in dedicated parking spaces in the surrounding streets. Parking bays have been painted on the road outside the building and on-street (card only) pay and display meters have been installed by City of Edinburgh Council, at a rate of £3.10 per hour, Monday to Friday 8:30am until 5:30pm. On-street parking is free in the evening and at weekends. There are also yellow zig zags on the street. Again, please check signage but at the time of writing it is free to park on the zigs zags after 4pm Monday to Friday and all day on the weekends. Again, please check signage at the nearby Tesco. At the time of writing parking is available for up to 3 hours.
