Glasgow Museums Resource Centre (GMRC) houses a vast collection of objects from around the world. Glasgow Museums can only display a tiny fraction of our collection at any one time in one of our nine museums across the city – the rest is stored at GMRC, our publicly accessible museum store. You name it, we’ve got it: paintings, pots, swords, ship models, vintage cars, clocks, kayaks – the list goes on! We have 17 purpose-built and environmentally controlled rooms known as pods set over 15,000 sqm2 which houses around 800,000 objects.
