Govanhill Library was opened in 1906. it is one of twelve libraries constructed with Andrew Carnegie's gift of £100,000 to the city in 1901 and was designed by the architect James R Rhind. Govanhill Library offers a wide range of services and activities in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The library offers a wide range of stock for both Adults and Children and has 14 PCs with free access to the internet. It also houses a collection of Urdu, Chinese, Punjabi and Slovakian.

We have a disabled ramp at the entrance to the building and level access throughout the library. Although we have double door access to the building there is a bell for staff assistance.
