Excellent local library

I visit Horsforth Library at least once a week. I sometimes take my two year old grandson who loves it. Plenty of children's books with a dedicated seating area. The staff are so polite and helpful I never hesitate to ask for help.

Horsforth Library

A modern library in which staff are very pleasant and helpful. At the entrance of library there is a ramp with a gradual incline but once inside the library, the library is situated all on one level. The library offers a wide range of books with a variety of genres. The library offers free wifi to library users and there is a free software on the computers called Board-maker, although you must book to use Board-maker. The library computers are free to use and some computers are touch screen with large keyboards and mouses.

Entrance is via open double doors then up a gradual inclining ramp but then the library is on one level and has no inaccessible areas. The meeting room is also fully accessible via either a lift or an external independent entrance. Touch screen monitors, large keyboard and mouse, trackball, Boardmaker and adjustable desk are available. There are low level areas and an Induction loop is installed on the counter.

There are five car parking bays, two of which are disabled, directly at the back of the library building. Parking time is restricted to three hours. The surface is tarmac and concrete and is fairly even, although there is a slight slope, and it is approximately 20 metres to the entrance.
