Lightroom is a new home for spectacular artist-led shows. Launching our programme with a collaboration with David Hockney in February 2023, we invite the world’s leading creative minds to use our vast space and revolutionary technology to create something completely new. Our newest show The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanks is open at Lightroom until 13 October 2024. For tickets and more information please visit the event page. From 17 June – 6 October 2024, our debut show David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away) will return to Lightroom to run alongside The Moonwalkers. For tickets and more information please visit the event page. Lightroom is located in King’s Cross on Lewis Cubitt Square, adjacent to Coal Drops Yard and Central St Martin’s. The innovative showspace was designed by 59 Productions in close collaboration with Haworth Tompkins, who have designed the venue as a sister space to the award-winning Bridge Theatre. Along with a generous Foyer and gift shop, the space also contains a bar and seating area in collaboration with St John.

We have never felt so brilliantly and unobtrusively looked after anywhere else we have been to

This is a gallery round the back of Kings Cross Station. We went there to the David Hockney exhibition (or performance), we enjoyed it so much we went twice. A few days before our date, we got an email checking on our access needs and were told to look out for the Access Champion when we arrived. This person actually came up to us, introduced themself and said "you must be Pat and Paul". She explained where things were, took us to a lift, escorted us to the gallery, told us how to summon her when we wanted to leave, ensured we got to the toilets when we wanted to ....... everything you could possibly wish for. We have nothing but praise for Lightroom.

Lightroom is for everyone. It is important to us that all of our visitors feel welcome and looked after. Accessibility at Lightroom There is level access to the building with lift facilities to all levels. An accessible toilet is available on all 3 levels. By foot, there are 3 flights of stairs down into the show space, and 4 short flights of stairs to exit. There are baby changing facilities in our gender neutral toilets, located in individual cubicles. Baby changing facilities are also available in the accessible toilets. Lightroom is fully accessible for wheelchair users, with level entry and lift access to all floors. You can borrow a wheelchair from us to use during your visit. To arrange for a wheelchair to be available, please email us at access@lightroom.uk before your visit. These are subject to availability and need to be requested in advance. We have Access Hosts at the venue who will be happy to support you with any specific needs you may have. Lightroom has a Calm Space should you need it during your visit. This facility is for anyone who may need a space to decompress, pray, feed or calm a child. Please ask one of our Front of House Team who can direct you.
