Live Theatre is a new writing theatre located on Newcastle's Quayside. The venue produces a wide range of new work including main house plays, script-in-hand readings, comedy, music, youth theatre, new writing workshops and much more besides. Live Theatre produces work as varied and diverse as the audiences it engages with. To do this it: Creates and performs new plays of world class quality Finds and develops creative talent Unlocks the potential of young people through theatre Live Theatre is a fully accessible building. Live produces a range of assisted performances.

Excellent disabled loo with overhead hoist

Easy access through the bar. I saw a gentleman with a large mobility scooter navigate the entrance easily. No changing bench. Loo in corner with left side support and right side drop down bar on the wall. Adjustable height basin. Overhead hoist plenty of room for wheelchair and carer. Door in folds right back f needed or just wheelchair width opened with touch plate or manually. Very clean.

Parking The Trinity Gardens car park and complex is 100 metres from the theatre, it can be accessed from City Road and Trinity Gardens. This secure car park is open from 7am to midnight and costs 90p per hour and is free after 5pm. There is limited on street parking on Broad Chare and additional car parks nearby. Outside Access (Broad Chare): There is level access to this service. The main doors are automatic and the doors are double width.
