Musée d'Orsay

We went to the Musée d'Orsay to see an exhibition and some of the paintings. Although there were long queues outside, we were instantly directed to Door A and sent in ahead of everyone else by museum staff - a common practice in France. Entry was free - although I was in a wheelchair being pushed by my partner, I had to show something which said I was disabled (my Disabled Railpass sufficed). Inside there are lifts to all floors, smooth sloping corridors and extremely helpful staff. When it came to lunch time, we joined the end of a queue but were quickly redirected by a member of staff to the front of the queue and they then created an empty table for us by moving its occupants elsewhere. Well worth a visit and we felt we were brilliantly treated.
