There is a hill on the site great place to visit

Once attached the motor to my manual chair the hill wasn’t an issue. They made accommodations to using the site with a lift in the mill, ramps, and a changing place. The mill itself was great, loved the water mill, the Apprentice House, the guide was great, and yes the cafe was good

As a charitable organisation we have taken steps to ensure that as many people as possible are able to experience Quarry Bank’s story. The enhanced facilities include: - Place to Change toilet facility - including overhead hoist, changing bench, peninsular toilet, dropdown rails, vertical rails - Braille guide version of the Story Map - Large print version of the Story Map - Tactile maps of every floor in the Mill - Virtual tour of the Apprentice House upper floor - Virtual tour of the Worker’s Cottage - These are on tablets at the venue, they include the exact tour that the visitors would receive should they go upstairs, and also a fly through of the space. So no visitors miss out on any part of the tour. - A new access map which shows terrain, gradients, path surfaces etc available from Visitor Reception. - A large scale ‘map4all’ tactile map was installed near Visitor Reception. - At key venues, we have tactile ‘easy read’ and braille signs that use pictorial symbols developed with the Seashell Trust. - A brand-new Beamer mark 2 Tramper. - Induction loops installed on all tills and in the Alex suite. - A detailed article on the Quarry Bank website dedicated to access. That includes photographs and accessible descriptions of all venues on the property. - A braille version of an indenture in the Workforce Gallery of the Mill. - A Braille version of an extract of Hannah’s diary in Quarry Bank House. - The service counter in the upper garden café was lowered to make it accessible.

On right-hand side of the car park are 16 designated parking spaces on a flat, firm surface. These spaces are for use of visitors holding an official Blue Badge. If you need to park close to the entrance but do not have a Blue Badge, you can ask at visitor reception for a one-day pass to use those bays. Visitor reception is 75m from the parking bays.
