There are six steps to the main entrance, with handrails. Alternative step-free access to reception and the Duke’s Hall concert venue is via the ramped side entrance of the York Gate building. This is approximately 30 metres to the left of the Academy’s main entrance. York Gate is wheelchair accessible to all floors. The museum’s three floors are all accessible via the lift. Most of our performance spaces have semi-flexible seating arrangements, and suitable spaces for wheelchair users. Please note that advance notice is very helpful. At advance request we have some induction loops available.
