    The Royal Lyceum Theatre Company is one of Scotland’s leading producing drama companies with a world class reputation for both classical and contemporary work, and for developing and supporting creative talent.

    Our beautiful late Victorian theatre sits in the heart of Edinburgh’s artistic and cultural quarter. We rehearse in our own rooms opposite the theatre, and costumes and sets are designed and built at our workshops in Roseburn.

    For all productions in our season we have Touch Tours, Audio Described, BSL Interpreted and Captioned performances.

    Absolutely fantastic! 'You Know We Belong Together'

    At the beginning, there were unforeseen circumstances and the performer had to learn a new script from scratch. You wouldn't have known because she was fantastic.

    Christmas Carol

    The show was good but compared to previous theatre experiences elsewhere there was no extra help offered from the box office to find seats, attend the toilets or get refreshments. In other places I've been escorted to my seat and offered help at intervals at at the end. Here they seemed content that they had done their job once we had accessed the building. I had company so was ok but it wouldn't have been easy if I'd been alone.

    Level access Doors wide enough (but very heavy) Platform lift to Howard Bar Standard lift to all floors Hearing enhancement is available, our system transmits on an FM radio frequency, so a pendant receiver and headphones will be required for anyone whose hearing aid cannot pick up an FM radio signal directly, and these are available from the Shop in the main foyer.
