Strutt's North Mill is a cotton spinning mill from 1804, that is now home to a museum collection of the finest cotton spinning machinery. We offer guided tours, have a gift shop and a small cafe.

Disabled Access Information for Strutt's North Mill

Entrance: level tarmac carpark, with ramp access through the door. The door is heavy as it's grade 1 listed, but staff are happy to assist in opening. Dropped counter at reception, with hearing loop available. Museum is accessed by ramps and level stone flooring. The basement is unfortunately unavailable to wheelchair users, but there is a basement video and complimentary tea/coffee for those unable to access the whole site.

Step free access, wide door, The room is 1680mm wide. The space in front of the toilet is 1300mm. The height of the toilet seat from the floor is 430mm. The height of the sink from the floor is 750mm.
