The Glass Works is Barnsley’s exciting shopping and leisure destination. Alongside High Street favourites, premier stores and boutiques, independent retailers add to the mix, creating a shopping experience in Barnsley town centre like no other. Grab some popcorn and settle down to watch the latest blockbuster at Cineworld which has 4DX and IMAX screens for the ultimate immersive experience. Or spare a few hours at Superbowl UK with 12 bowling lanes, a soft play area and SEGA arcade. The Glass Works is a leading destination for lunch or dinner, a special celebration or just a few drinks after work. Home to some of the most well-known brands, including The Botanist, TGI Friday’s and Nandos as well as incredible independent eateries and coffee shops. Families are very welcome, with all our establishments committed to making eating out a warm and welcoming experience for all generations. The Glass Works public square is the perfect spot to relax in the sunshine and is also host to some fantastic events throughout the year.

Good day out with carer with disabled facilities including toilets changing places helpful staff .

The Glass Works Shopping Centre is at the heart of Barnsley Town Centre and accessible with the main retail boulevard and public square on the ground level. From the Glass Works car park, accessible lifts are available for visitors. Some shops and venues within the Glass Works, including Barnsley Market, include upper levels for visitors, these can be accessed via accessible lifts within their premises. Visitors can rent mobility scooters and wheelchairs from Age UK situated on Eldon Street. You will need to register with them to access this service.

There are 475 spaces in The Glass Works multi-storey car park. This includes: 20 Parent and Child Bays, 28 Disabled Bays, 10 Next Click and Collect Bays and 6EV Charging Bays. To claim your free parking with your Blue Badge, drive to the exit barrier as normal, contact the security control room via the intercom on the ticket machine, quote your blue badge number and the barriers will be lifted.

Customer toilets are located in the Glass Works lobby, in the market atrium and first floor of the Market and Market Kitchen. Accessible toilets are located in the Market atrium, the first floor of the Market and in Market Kitchen. Accessible toilets and a wet room facility is also available in the Glass Works lobby.
