Watershed is a social enterprise and a registered charity. As the leading film culture and digital media centre in the South West, we advance education, skills, appreciation and understanding of the arts with a particular focus on film, media and digital technologies. Accessible Café, Bar and Cinema

The café, bar and cinema are located on the 1st floor of this waterside destination. Accessibility is via a single lift. The lift is small however it is large enough to accommodate power and manual wheelchairs. There is plenty of space in the bar and restaurant and chairs can be moved easily to enable a wheelchair user to get up close to the tables. The tables are high enough to allow the wheelchair user to get their legs underneath without too much problems. There is one accessible toilet which doubles up for baby changing. It is located near the largest cinema. It used to be accessed via a radar key however this has been changed recently. There is no lock on the toilet now. Because the toilet is used for baby changing it can be busy however it is always clean and tidy and well maintained. The cinema is accessible via ramps and a small stair platform lift. Its not the best however it does work. This is a great location and it is used by many disabled people.

Watershed's entrance is on the ground floor, with a lift up to the first floor where the cinemas, cafe and events spaces can be found. There is level access across the first floor with the exception of a small raised area in the cafe bar that has two steps. There is level access to the front of all cinema screens, and platform lifts to the back of Cinema 1 and Cinema 3.

Watershed is in the centre of Bristol with no parking of it's own. There are four blue badge holder spaces maintained by Bristol City Council directly behind Watershed on Canons Road. These parking spaces are approximately 100 metres from the main entrance.

Toilets features at Watershed

Yes, we have two accessible toilets in the venue, one is located near the cinemas for customers and also has baby changing facilities, the other in our Pervasive Media Studio for guests of the studio. The door is wide enough for all wheelchairs, there are grab rails, easy turn locks and taps.
