One of Wirral’s hidden gems, the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum is minutes from the heart of Birkenhead, on the edge of the picturesque village of Oxton. It is centrally located and easily accessible by car and local transport, with free parking. The Williamson collection includes some internationally important paintings, as well as the UK's largest public collection of Della Robbia pottery. It also hosts a multitude of arts and crafts workshops, offering people of all ages the chance to get involved in new activities and discover new skills. Please visit the website for more information on upcoming events. We are also home to an excellent café, independent book shop and art supplies shop. Plenty of reason to stop by for a visit! The Williamson Art Gallery & Museum is open Wednesday - Sunday 10am-5pm

Current exhibition on Apollo photographs amazing

Carpark lacking in disabled bays. Ramp up to entrance, staff helpful and changing place very welcome. The actual exhibition was superb about photos taken in the Apollo era and clarified for a digital age.

Disabled Access Information for Williamson Art Gallery and Museum

Disable access ramp up outdoor steps. All doors push/pull, double doors with a single door being wide enough for disabled access. The entire gallery is single floor with no internal stairs or lifts required.
