There is step-free access to the museum via the left-side of Windsor Guildhall, next to Queen Charlotte Street and the ‘Crooked House’ and fountain. There is a narrow area of flattened cobbles on this side that users need to cross to get to the Corn Market (where the museum entrance door is). The first set of doors to the museum are double width and the width of the door opening is 180cm. There are a second set of doors that open towards you. They are permanently held open and the door opening width is 100cm. There is a small lip on the threshold of the entrance, with a height of 2cm. There is an exit push pad to the right of the second doors at a height of 94cm. The museum gallery is on one level (ground floor). To access paid tours of Windsor Guildhall, there are three steps to enter the Guildhall foyer from the museum followed by a double cantilever staircase (approx 20 steps) to access the upstairs rooms of the Guildhall. As an alternative, visitors can enter through the steep-free accessible Mayor's Parlour door at the side of the venue (single width door) and use the chair left (without wheelchair) to go upstairs. There is no accessible lift available in the building to access upstairs rooms.
