Scottish Rugby sell tickets for the Autumn Tests with a May deadline, but only allocate blue badge parking spaces in October a few weeks before the games. There is a wheelchair ballot, again nearer the date of the games, which has been covered in other reviews. I prefer to have a seat rather than rely on ballot success. There are more blue badge spaces near the ice rink than the number required for the wheelchair ballot, so I don’t understand why Scottish Rugby can’t combine May deadline with allocation of parking spaces. In 2022 they also sold “pitch parking” which is as near the stadium as the blue badge parking, but again these were only sold from October not the earlier deadline in May. For 2023 there appears to be no “pitch parking” as the spaces there are now reserved for (corporate) hospitality guests. Scottish Rugby should consider the balance between blue badge parking spaces (relatively few) and hospitality (the majority). I can echo other review comments that staff are generally very helpful but negotiating the crowds can be a little intimidating, as many are drinking alcohol (both before, during and after the game). As our seats were on the upper level (which offers a better view than pitch side wheelchair seats having to put up with passing camera crews and others) so we had to queue for the one lift in the hospitality lounge area. I’m surprised Scottish Rugby didn’t plan for more and/or larger lifts (cf. Wembley for example).

When buying an accessible platform ticket, you will be offered a parking space and very friendly staff will direct you. After this, you go into the supporters village where there are all sorts of food vendors and merchandise. At the doors open time, you can access the stadium and platform. Try to get there early so that you are at the front of the platform. Amazing staff will guide you all through this process. My only grumble is that the accessible portaloos used are smaller than you would think. I saw the Eagles so it was a seated event on the pitch so there is plenty of room too move and plenty of room on the platform.

There is nothing quite like being at Murrayfield! There is a wheelchair ballot to keep things fair and th Is is drawn near games. Once you are there, there are plenty of accessible toilets and your space offers a free hot drink before the game starts. It’s often cold so wrap up! The stadium tour is also accessible and well worth it.
