Access from Borrage Farm Lane is currently blocked due to footpath erosion. Normally there would be wheelchair access to the river here but most wheelchairs could not use this route to get to the rest of the site. There are steps up with a bar to hold onto called the Giant Steps. There are steps between some levels The first section of the path off Hell Wath lane has been recently resurfaced and has a secure crushed stone surface and a route to the rest of the nature reserve that avoids most of the more challenging inclines.
