Accessible toilet inaccessible for wheelchairs

Toilet has grab rails but that’s where the positives stop. Layout and placement of the bin etc. means that you can get a wheelchair inside but then there is no room to turn around or transfer. I’m lucky that I can stand to transfer but it was then very hard to get back out. When we raised this they said they had tried to raise this before but had got nowhere.

good access around centre

The outlet shopping centre has good level entry and excellent flooring throughout. Some ramps which are quite steep.

Livingston Designer Outlet has both a surface and multi storey car park. The surface car park is situated outside the main Outlet entrance and hosts 22 disabled spaces - these are positioned at the front and to the right of the car park, nearest to the Outlet entrance. The Multi Storey car park hosts 55 disabled spaces, situated nearest to the door entry on each level.

Toilets features at Livingston Designer Outlet

We have multiple accessible toilets available to make your experience easier. Our accessible toilet facilities are located on the lower mall near to our Guest Service area, behind Claire's and also near to Adidas. On the Upper Mall an accessible toilet can be found next to the VUE cinema. Radar Ket scheme is in operation of the facilities located behind Claire's, keys are available for purchase from Guest Services. Within the male lower mall main toilet facilities, we have a unit that provides a discreet and hygienic way to dispose of incontinence waste products. The Changing Places facility is located in the Lower Mall West End toilets (near Adidas), next to the existing accessible toilets. The facility includes a height-adjustable adult-sized changing bench and tracking hoist system and is accessible via a video entrance system.
