Disabled Access Information for Runcorn Library

    disabledAccessText

The library is on one level throughout, with level-access from outside. There are 2 sets of doors both of which are automatic. The main desk is located to the right-hand side of the library when coming in from the entrance and has a dropped counter for customers to place bags and books on when checking in/out. The library floor is wheelchair accessible, with wide spaces to easily move around. There are also chairs and tables/desks around the library. We do have automated machines to check books in and out, as well as to print, but staff are available to assist if necessary. Staff are also able to help taking books off shelves for customers who require assistance. Shelves are labelled at the top detailing what genre of book they are, or what non-fiction subject they are.
