Stapenhill Gardens & Ferry Bridge

Access to the gardens and bridge is step-free, down an unpaved but short and quiet lane. At the bottom of the lane before the bridge, you can grab an icepole, or one of them 5p e-number riddled frozen juice cups from the refreshment kiosk that is usually open whenever the sun is shining. The majority of the gardens are step free, however being on the side of a hill, the picturesque floral displays for which Burton-on-Trent receives regular acclaim from the 'Britain in Bloom' campaign feature many steps. Views of this display are best from the bottom anyway.
