Book group Second Tuesday of the month at 6.45pm

Cubs visit the Library

7th Edinburgh North East Cub pack visited the outside of the Library to learn about the challenges a disabled person would face when visiting a building. This was part of their Disability Awareness badge. The Cubs noted done the things that had been done to improve the accessibility of the building.

Lots of books and information!

Opening the heavy front doors can be difficult for an unaccompanied wheelchair user or someone with limited strength. There are always staff around but they aren't always aware of people needing assistance to get into the building. Once in the access is pretty good.
